On behalf of the Organising Committee, the Australian Geoscience Council (AGC), and the Indonesian Geoparks Network (IGN), we are pleased to invite you to take part in the Sydney Workshop of the 5th Geotourism Festival & International Conference. The workshop is being organised by the AGC and will take place in Sydney, Australia, on the 18th of July 2024.

This workshop is an international event open to scientists, educators, students, professionals, tourism planners/managers/operators, and anyone involved in geotourism. The focus of the workshop is on “Geotourism Framework Strategy Development,” featuring international speakers from Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. It will also include field trips to world-class geotourism areas close to Sydney. The workshop aims to raise industry awareness among attendees and provide a space to discuss new challenges and strategies in geotourism in both Indonesia and Australia.

The full program, including details of the presenters and field trips, is available under Program & Field Trips pages. For more information about AGC, you can visit https://www.agc.org.au/geoscience-in-australia/geotourism/
